Building Bridges is thrilled to announce our partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana's Magnificent Male Experience. Together, we are embarking on an incredible journey to empower young Black men through mentorship, fellowship, and access to invaluable resources.

The Magnificent Male Weekend, an enriching on-campus experience, is just the beginning of this transformative program. Last year, nearly 100 young men from across 21 states came together to participate in activities designed to enhance their problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and interpersonal relationships.

As Curtis Wright, Vice President of Student Affairs at Xavier University aptly puts it, "This program allows the University to walk alongside these young men and their parents from their sophomore, junior, and senior years in high school to get them ready for not only coming to Xavier, but going to any college."

Selected from a pool of nearly 1,000 applicants, each participant in the Magnificent Male Experience receives fellowship and mentorship, along with a conditional acceptance to Xavier University. Monthly virtual sessions from September to May help further enrich their journey, culminating in guaranteed admission and a $5,000 scholarship to Xavier University upon completion in May.
